Magic Software Enterprises Sponsors Noa's "Blue Touches Blue" World Tour
Singer to Perform Today for Pope John Paul II at Vatican and with Other International Artists at the "Concert For A Debt Free World"
IRVINE, Calif. -
Magic Software Enterprises announced today that it is sponsoring
Noa's world tour to introduce her third and latest album, "Blue
Touches Blue."
The tour, which began in Zurich on March 23, features a personal
appearance before Pope John Paul II scheduled for today at the
Vatican. Following the performance, the singer will take part in the
"Concert for a Debt Free World," which is expected to attract more
than one million people and will be broadcast worldwide over TV and
radio. Also performing at the "Concert for a Debt Free World" will be
Santana, Bono, Bob Geldof, the Eurythmics and Lou Reed.
Noa's new album, "Blue Touches Blue" includes the hit single, "If
I Give You Everything," as well as the song, "Beautiful That Way,"
from the Roberto Benigni movie, "Life is Beautiful." Noa, accompanied
by the Santa Secilia Symphony Orchestra, will perform before Pope John
Paul II during the Vatican's Great Jubilee celebrations to be held
today.
Noa, together with Gil Dor, an accomplished guitarist and one of
the co-founders of the prestigious Rimon School of Jazz and
Contemporary Music in Israel, has been enthusiastically received all
over the world and especially in Europe. Accompanied by her band and
Dor, she has appeared at hundreds of live concerts and done numerous
television and radio performances. More than one million copies of her
records have sold worldwide. Recently, she wrote and recorded a theme
song for the new Luc Besson movie, "The Messenger."
"We are very excited to be sponsoring Noa's `Blue Touches Blue'
world tour, which includes her participation in the `Concert for a
Debt Free World.' Noa's talents lie in her ability to create the kind
of music that crosses geographic and cultural boundaries, touching
people everywhere," said Jack Dunietz, chief executive officer of
Magic.
During her career, Noa has performed with some of the leading
artists in the music industry, including Sting and Stevie Wonder. In
addition, she has appeared with the Philharmonic Orchestra of
Philadelphia, as well as the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra. Noa also
has performed for dignitaries around the world, including a previous
concert for the Pope and Mother Theresa at the Vatican in front of
more than 100,000 people, and before U.S. President Bill Clinton and
many other heads of state. For this latest tour, Noa will give more
than 150 concerts around Europe. Just last week, Noa performed before
two sell out audiences at the Olympia Concert Hall in Paris.
"I want to thank Magic Software for sponsoring me on this tour,"
said Noa. "Just as Magic touches companies worldwide with its
products, I look forward to using this tour to bring the 'magic' of
music into the lives of people around the world."
