Magic Software Enterprises Names David A. Cropper Vice President of Sales for Its North American Operations

Former Remedy Sales Exec Brings Extensive E-Commerce, CRM and Leadership Experience to Position

IRVINE, Calif.- (BUSINESS WIRE)- Magic Software Enterprises (Nasdaq:MGIC - news), a leading provider of state-of-the-art technology and business solutions, Tuesday announced the appointment of David A. Cropper as vice president of sales for its North American operations.

Cropper, who has extensive experience managing sales of e-commerce and customer relationship management (CRM) business solutions, is expected to play a key role in expanding Magic's competitive position in both the United States and Canada.

Cropper, who began his career as an account manager with Digital Equipment Corp. more than 15 years ago, most recently was employed by Remedy Corp., an established provider of help desk and other CRM business solutions.

"The appointment of David Cropper to head up our North American sales operation signifies another positive development for Magic. He has a proven record of obtaining results and growing companies' revenues," said Rephael Inbar, president of Magic's North American operations.

"In addition, David's leadership, ability to recruit top-notch people and develop successful sales teams and solutions selling experience, together with Magic's award-winning technology, should act as a strong catalyst for growing Magic's market position in North America."

Prior to joining Remedy, Cropper also held sales management positions with Centura Software Corp. (Gupta), Software AG of North America and Pilot Executive Software. Cropper, who graduated cum laude from Ohio University, holds a master's of business administration degree from Pepperdine University. He will work out of Magic's Irvine office, reporting directly to Inbar.
