SintecMedia To Show New Features In OnAir at NAB2006
Real-time, interactive report and graphical analysis tool for broadcasters
January 26, 2006
At the upcoming NAB2006 SintecMedia will be showing new features in their OnAir interactive report and graphical analysis tool for broadcasters.
Revenue and Inventory Management
OnAir introduces a state-of-the-art, real-time, interactive report and graphical analysis tool. This allows users to access information required for making more informed decisions, proactively react to changing business conditions, monitor sales activities, and more effectively manage inventory and maximize revenues. Analysis is allowed at the individual channel level or data can be consolidated across multiple channels in the organization.
Internal Process Controls and Sarbanes-Oxley
OnAir's existing security, auditing, and user-definable rules capabilities have been enhanced to provide broadcasters with more control over establishing, managing, and reporting on internal processes that meet Sarbanes-Oxley legislation requirement as well as internal corporate process controls
Multicampaign Promo Optimization
OnAir can now optimize the placement of multiple promo campaigns simultaneously. The optimization engine's algorithm maximizes a user-defined goal stated in terms of required rating/audience, number of spots, or amount of promo airtime while taking into consideration a set of constraints and limitations such as channel, daypart, and program genre to generate the best possible plan, which will result in greater viewership for the promoted event. The whole optimization process automates the previously labor-intensive process of placing promos relative to their targeted program (e.g., a "coming up next" promo will be placed in the schedule in the program directly preceding the promoted program). The system automatically manages the impact to scheduled promos when program changes occur, thus ensuring that promos are always properly placed in the schedule and alleviating the need for users to check the log manually.
eTV Support
A powerful set of new management tools has been built into OnAir that will allow broadcasters to manage streaming of video and data in parallel to regular events. For example, during a sporting or special entertainment event, OnAir enables the scheduling of one or more additional synchronized streams. This will enable the viewer to click on the remote control and switch to other cameras, as well as view statistics, side documentaries, player profiles, and more. OnAir also helps manage the triggers that activate various screen options for the viewer to select.
